The journal is intended for curious theatre-goers, students and people beginning to think about performance design. It is not a museum collection, a fabrication service or a substitute for instruction from a qualified maker, conservator, musician or lighting professional.

Authorship, without an invented team

This edition’s text was prepared with OpenAI Codex using the source records listed with each article. The publication credit “Mask & Rhythm” names the journal; it does not identify a person or imply an established editorial staff. The images are original AI-generated design illustrations.

No named human author, specialist reviewer or supervising editor has yet been supplied by the owner. Human editorial review remains a condition of public release. The design exercises are not descriptions of fieldwork, interviews, rehearsals or material tests we performed.

How evidence is used

Historical references stay attached to a named source and context. General material-care guidance is distinguished from a treatment recommendation for a specific object. A manufacturer’s technical page is identified as a commercial source, not an independent endorsement.

Our fictional mask has no claimed cultural, religious or historical attribution. Captions describe it as a contemporary digital concept. The Editorial Policy explains these distinctions in more detail.
